Do you think that these charges can stand in court? Did Phillip Dong Fang Lee want to recover his losses through legal remedy?
Do you think this is going to be a bad precedent if Phillip Dong Fang Lee wins the case, and casinos should check the behavior of their players if they are exploiting their addiction?
So in essence, they gave him him an extra payable amount for him to use in his gambling, he accepted it spent it to gamble, probably incurred losses in the process and is now looking for who to blame for it, right? that looks like a really smart move. there is a saying that ignorance of a law or rule is not an excuse. even though technically, we can blame some casino for making their conditions hard to understand but when you are looking at this as a case to be presented in a court of law, they work with evidence and the question that comes to mind , did you sign the document? obviously yes, did they force him to? absolutely NO.

Casinos might not have modalities in place to know who is a vulnerable gambler and so, it is practically difficult to set rules for such people. you can talk about designing their site to suite the different kinds of users but you can not have a perfect casiso that puts 100% of users need into place. that is not possible.
