That is fair and smart take on match. You are right that even though UAE lost their great performance was victory in itself. It is true that some of Afghanistan best players were missing but that does not change fact that UAE played consistently well throughout game. Their ability to compete so strongly is showing they are genuinely improving and closing gap. This is very promising sign for future and it will be exciting to see if they can turn these close matches into wins.
