after all, liverpool appears to be the team with the highest expectations for the championship. i think they have the most complete starting 11 because, aside from any positional weaknesses, all of their players are of the highest quality.
when you factor in their full squad, the difference between them and other teams becomes even clearer. here are two completely different starting lineups composed of liverpool's current players:

this means that even if all the players in liverpool's current starting 11 were suddenly injured, they could still field a complete squad of top quality. that's incredible.
While it is true that two different set of teams can be taken from there. Ekitike is clearly the first team player, and Gakpo is not, Ekitike will play there. And unfortunately, putting him at left wing, or even left inside forward, is not going to be an easy adjustment and they are forced to do that after they acquired Isak, a move that was not needed at all.
There is a huge gap between first team and second team, but not like they are going to play that second team as a whole, they just move players around to rest those players and that would be a lot better for them to have a huge depth at the bench in order to feel better. This is why it's clear we are going to see these type of changes all season long, and resting players will be easier for them.
