Arne Slot may have spent the most funds in the transfer window this summer but already has something worth considering even if he fails to win the league title this season but we can’t say same for Mikel Arteta that has been at the club for 5 years plus and is yet to win a silverware for the club.
The PL is the most difficult league in the world and Arteta has played a huge part in Arsenal's rise. Arsenal have finished 2nd 4 times in the last 20 years and Arteta has done it 3 times. To say he hasn't brought success would be unfair. It's just not enough for the title.
And in the CL, Arteta also managed to get them in again and even made it to the quarter-finals, where they also lost very narrowly to a strong Bayern. So I think he's a successful coach at Arsenal!
When I see people make such statements about Arteta that he has done nothing in his five years as Arsenal manager it breaks my heart because I can clearly remember the position of the club before Arteta and how far Arsenal have come under him. For me he has been successful and I don’t care what others think anymore.
