Zimbabwe struggled in start of run chase, three of their wickets went down in just 5.4 overs. Ryan Burl and Tashinga Musekiwa partnership of 23 runs helped Zimbabwe in levelling the series. Zimbabwe lost 5 wickets in chasing the target. It was not a good day for SL because whole of their batting collapsed in just 17.4 overs. Sikanader Raza and Brad Evans both bowled brilliantly and picked 3 wickets each. Sri Lanka next assignment is Asia cup and this defeat means they are not well prepared for the Asia cup.
Zimbabwe are not an experienced team. Even though the target was very small, I was sure that Zimbabwe would face problems in reaching the target. And Zimbabwe reached the target by losing 5 wickets. But , I was impressed by the performance of Zimbabwe's bowlers. Siukandar raza, Muzarbani and Evans bowled well. These three bowlers gave very few runs and took 8 wickets. I am looking forward to the last match. If Zimbabwe can win, they will win the T20 series. However, it will be very difficult to win another match against this Sri Lankan squad. I still consider Sri Lanka as the favourites to win the series.
