We don't have to underrate the remaining players on the pitch. But we are aware that Victor Osimhen is the major threat to Ugandan defenders. His absence will give the visitors more chances and confidence to come out and play. Before now, they were cautious because he could maximize any slight opportunity. I have lost hope in the Super Eagles qualifying for the World Cup. If this game ends in a draw, our hope will become dimmer. Let's hope that they will hold on to this one-goal lead.
The Super Eagles finally got all three points because their visitors was unable to find the back of the net till the match was over. However, I expected more than one goal in this match with the level of Super Eagle performance throughout the match. Rwanda goalie made quite some good saves to deny Nigeria their second goal. Arokodare goal put smiles on Nigerians face as they hope to win South Africa in their next match.
Even though they got three points at the end of the day, I am not impressed with the kind of play I saw in that match. It really show that all is not well with our team and the hope of us beating South Africa is really slim. We are not taking control in the midfield as we should, only Alex Iwoi is active in the midfield.
