Rich ppl aren't protected from addiction. If you're rich you'll bet more money but it doesn't guarantee you're going to win. Poor ppl bet less money but they're at the same risk they're going to get addicted.
Everyone indeed gets addicted to gambling, both rich and poor. No matter the amount of money each of them stakes and how much they have in their bank account, they will get addicted and lose it all if they don't learn how to properly manage their gambling habit and activities. No wealth status is immune to gambling addiction; getting addicted is personal and not by how much the person has.
