Ronaldo is the ultimate reason why the SPL enter spotlight, everyone is desperate to watch the stunning performance of Al Nassr and other clubs. For what's worth, Ronaldo will forever be acknowledged as the footballer from Europe that came to Asia to set standards in their domestic football. Everyone admire the playing pattern of the Portuguese international and wouldn't do anything to jeopardize the good thing going on.
Without Ronaldo coming to the Saudi pro league, not many footballers would had wanted to go there to play. Without him the spotlight wouldn't had been on the league therefore the league has him to thank for everything and although the media keep making him look like the problem, I don't think he's the problem of Al Nassr. This season though I think Al Nassr are going to play very well and they'll win some silverware if they can't get their league title but I don't think that's an impossible challenge for them to overcome. Ronaldo has it in his mind to give Al Nassr a title since he hasn't played for any club without winning them a trophy.
That's right, the Saudi Pro League has garnered a lot of attention due to Ronaldo, its huge fan base, and I think they've invested in the right players. Regarding Al Nassr chances of winning a trophy this season, I think their chances are even greater, with the squad overhaul and the change in manager. However, we realize it's still too early to predict who will win the trophy this season, but the competition will certainly be much more competitive than last season. Al Ittihad and Al Hilal will remain the strongest contenders, and it's possible that some dark horses will emerge this season to disrupt the competition.
