However, he is a good goalkeeper based on history and he can do well in the Turkish league.

If there are group of players that loan contract used to favor, it is goalkeepers. There is no guarantee that the present Manchester United goalkeeper will do well in the club. He might turn to be worse than Onana and by then Onana would have gone to the Turkish league to development another level of confidence and trust and get better. Then Manchester United will require his services again. It is better than selling him or leaving him on the bench.
If I were Onana, I will accept the contract since my contract and salary with Manchester United is still intact.
