Leverkusen are in a precarious situation at the start of the season, so it's a bit difficult for them to do well this season. I'm still not sure what they'll do now that Ten Hag has been sacked and whether they'll hire a new coach or not. The impact of such a precarious situation will definitely be felt on the pitch and I expect it to be negative.
The situation at Bayern Leverkusen is so funny, it is like committing an offense and then shifting the blame to another person. They sold all their key players and turn around to blame the coach for being unable to win matches, maybe they were expecting the coach to perform miracles. I pity whoever that will summon the courage to pick up that job because he will be paying for offense he did not commit.
Ten Hag might regret his decision to accept the offer from Leverkusen management. Perhaps he didn't imagine that the management would release almost all the key players. So, given the situation, if Ten Hag fails to meet expectations, I don't think he can be entirely blamed. Leverkusen fans also can't expect much this season, but a top-four finish might still sound realistic for Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag might be a little lucky with this international break, he'll have time to evaluate his team weaknesses and prepare the best strategy for the next matches. Overall, if Ten Hag fails to meet expectations in his first season, it wouldn't be surprising. On the other hand, Leverkusen setback will be a blessing in disguise for Bayern Munich, making Kompany trophy defense much easier. Dortmund should be also capitalize on this good momentum to challenge for the top spot.
