Just want to share something I’ve observed in our community. I know a few people who are consistent gamblers, yet they also work really hard. It seems like gambling actually pushes them to hustle more, because they need money to fuel their gambling activities.
I wouldn’t think that to be the case, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve got to fuel their gambling activities but, these guys many times than most, would have taken money meant for something important and gambled it away. Now, they are left with a debt owed to themselves or others in times of, what they need to use the money on and they’ve got to get things done either they like it or not and so, they put in some extra time for some extra pay.
That exactly is the case for most of these situations. In fact, I haven't seen someone very dedicated to work come home late, doing extra work for extra money, and only to end up in the casino. The worst part is that the person will probably walk out empty more frequently than walking out with an extra bag. But, I've seen a lot of people working 2-3 jobs, doing overtime just to pay off their debts. May it be for gambling or something else? I'm positive, it's not really gambling that fuels these people to do some extra work for extra money, but it is always the debt that needs to be paid on time, otherwise, extra charges will be put on top of the due amount. In all fairness to these people, I have to admire them somehow for facing their lapses compared to those who resort to suicide.
