If it were that easy,  I think these betting companies would have been out of business. Most times, the odds being placed don't reflect what would be the overall outcome that's why you'd see a game that has odds like 1.44 as the favorite to win losing against a side with 4.00 or 5.00 so it's not always guaranteed that what the odds show would happen.

It’s correct. The odds mostly reflects on where the bettor put their money especially if the game is near to start. We are talking about odds here before the match started.

But once the game was started, odds provider adjust it back to the true probability based on the game. I think they are using some bot or AI that automate the odds adjustment based on the actual game condition.
