The sports industry does not only consist of athletes and managers. There are also the reporters or journalists. They are the ones who go to watch live sports and report trackside or from the studio. They follow the season and the athletes. They are the ones who build a narrative and share it to the public. It got me thinking whether they do sports betting or not and uses whatever inside information they have. Or do they spread something just to bet something different? If you were a sports journalist, would you enjoy betting on the sports you report on?

It's a matter of choice, as a sports journalist you can choose not to bet on the sports you report on or you can choose to do it for fun and passively make profit from it when you get lucky. That only thing that would be very wrong is when you use the information you gather as a sports journalist to create a narrative to confuse other bettors. Even though this might be your career it doesn't stop you from betting on your favorite team
Being a sports journalist shouldn't be a death sentence because unlike any other careers out there, it is a paying job and even though these journalists do not trend as much as the story they sell, there will always be opportunity that abound from either bending a story or spicing it up more to suit the grand audience.
That's not to say gambling has anything to do with the kind of profits that could come from spicing up a story as a means to an end.

As far as am concerned, gambling is a personal choice and irrespective of any careers, it is ones choice to create and manage a betting account or gamble if at all.
