So far Atletico Madrid have failed to achieve a perfect score in their three La Liga matches. They have had a poor start to the season something that is very rare for Atletico. This contrasts with Villarreal's excellent start to the season, conceding only one goal, most impressively after their convincing victory over Girona.
The odds of 1.87 on Villarreal are certainly reasonable considering Atletico Madrid's current poor form. However I personally believe Atletico will give their all in this match to secure their first home win. This victory is crucial for rebuilding the confidence of Simeone's squad and ensuring their La Liga campaign continues to improve. Furthermore the international break is a great opportunity for Simeone to continue evaluating weaknesses from previous matches.
