Today there is new record in history of ODI, England has won the third ODI by 342 runs and that's the biggest defeat by runs in history of ODI. We saw very similar results from South Africa in their ODI series against Aussies, after winning first two ODI's South Africa lost the third ODI by 276 runs. But today south Africa played terrible cricket, England scored 342 runs batting first and South Africa must have scored at least 200 runs while chasing. South Africa won ODI series against England and Australia but both these countries gave South Africa a harsh lesson in last ODI.
True, it is true that the England team has created a new record in the ODI format, where our expectations were very much reversed after seeing their performance in the first match.
The previous biggest win margin was between Sri Lanka and India which was 317 runs, and today the England team has crossed it and made it 342. It's possible that the South African team didn't take this match very seriously today because they already won the series, but I think it cost them this. I can't imagine that the South African team was all out for just 72 runs in this match, it was a very unexpected performance from the South African batters.
