Students are not the wealthiest clients for casinos. They have bigger spenders than students. Poor people and students are some of the vulnerable clients gambling companies want to keep because they make up parts of their profits.

Students are vulnerable clients? I am not sure that they even gamble that much as people say. Maybe they gamble frequently, but they are not the biggest spenders. How much can they lose? Lunch money? They will quickly run out of them and they will have to stop or pause gambling until tomorrow. And, as they have still too much to explore in this world, I dont think that returning to gambling is their goal for tomorrow.

They cant be the target, they are too young and the money on their cycle is not that big. Number 1 reasdo is they are young and under age.
gambling at their age is very illegal. it should not affect education nor studies as they should be working on their futures and not spinning around any roullete nor slots.
You are talking about students who actually are not addicted to gambling and possibly know what they  are doing and understand that their future isn't with gambling, for the students who are already addicted, I can tell you that they spent most of their time gambling rathe than reading their book, and this type of people even gamble away their tuition fees at any slightest opportunity.

Last year here in my country, news circulated the whole of social media of a young student under the age of 25 who gambled away his school, then stole his friend's debit card and spent the friend's school fees too without the knowledge of his friend, when the school authority started asking their school fees, the friend learnt that his gambling friend had used up his school fees without his knowledge, he reported to the school authority, the case was pending final decision from the school authority when the gambling student went and committed suicide by drinking an insecticide.
Some students are addicts, and such student don't do well because gambling affects their studies.
