I think Bayern Leverkusen haven’t given Erik ten Haag the much needed chance to put the team together before they get back to winning ways. What were they expecting after selling all their best players and almost emptying the entire squad that played for the club two season ago and won the league two season ago. The team looked new now with the presence of the new players and especially the manager who is also new. Leverkusen knows fully well that they want to challenge for the title and win matches but yet they went ahead to selling all their best players with really good amount and forget to replace them accordingly.
The selling of players was a good strategy to generate income for the club but what they failed to do is to invest some of those money that they made to get in new players that can fill the shoes of the sold players. The owners of the club are asking for something that's impossible to achieve. You can't sell almost all your best players and not replace them with better or equal talents then you expect the team to be performing at high levels and competing for titles. The problem of Leverkusen isn't their new manager but the owners of the club. Some owners don't know how to do business yet they want to run a club.
