Open thread: What is your type of perception about bitcoin; do you consider it as a currency or as an investment asset or both?
Both, but more of an asset rather than a currency.

Like what you said, we have different perspective with regards to Bitcoin. It was created to be a currency just as stated in the whitepaper, but the volatility nature of it made it an asset since many can make money by just holding it. I haven't use Bitcoin itself to buy things either online or offline, and I always wanted to, but I'm just simply converting it to our local fiat currency and that's what I'm using. As for it as an asset, there's no need for an explanation for it since I'm holding Bitcoins for quite some time already.

Well, I guess it doesn't matter anymore if a person sees Bitcoin as a currency, as an asset, or both. What matters for me now is it's growing as a market, and every year, more and more people are interested in investing into the crypto market.
