I don't see him playing with another team aside from Meralco TBH.
Just like when Tenorio became the face of Brgy. Ginebra, it's the same thing with Newsome. He's the face of Meralco, and he's been playing there ever since, so it's obvious that he'll stay there. On the flip side though, we know that SMC teams are well-known for those lop-sided trades to their farm teams, so I will not be surprised if after this 3-year contract of him, they will trade him to another farm team just to get way younger players.
I only really enjoyed watching NorthPort back when Romeo and Pringle were playing together. They were such a solid duo, but for me it was Romeo who really stood out on that team. That was his prime, so many killer ISO moves, and he even carried that flair into international competition.
Even though Romeo never won a title with NorthPort, I still think that was the best journey of his career.
Blackwater's been selling their franchise for many years already, and so does TerraFirma, but NorthPort did sold their franchise first. I wonder if the company made profit from it though.
Anyway, I can't remember anything achievement that's considered "significant" for the team with their whole stint in the PBA. I guess I'll remember them as the team that always goes down in the first round of the playoffs and that's it. As for the one that's buying the franchise though, I don't expect too much from them aside from the fact that they might just turn to be another farm team just like what NorthPort was the whole time.

A total of 122 players were included in the final list of the draft.
Is "Mr. Long Bomb" on the list?

Kidding aside, I wonder how many of them will play for a long time in the league. If you're in the 2nd round, you're lucky if you will play a long time in the PBA because even you're drafted in the first round, your future still isn't guaranteed, and you might still end up playing outside the league.
