A brief summary of the video is that, some of the people we see with high rate are fraudsters, kidnappers etc, now what they do is they will either kidnap someone who is rich and either kill him or make him give them access to his account and they will go and get old Bybit or trading exchange from someone and pay the person off and re-edit the account.
This is barely a marketing fomo from B-Lord trying to market his exchange services, no kidnappers do transactions on Bank apps or deal with banks and nobody keeps dirty money in the bank. Then again you can't use third party payment on Bybit p2p or change account name without passing KYC they already put all these instances into consideration before designing the system.
I'm not arguing there are no tainted money on P2P Marketplace, there is and not only on NGA but across the world but the percentage is low. What we should be worried for is the high amount of tainted coins on exchanges.
Na true talk I agree with you.. Bcus platforms like Bybit or Binance don already put plenty strict KYC measures to prevent this kind of shady movement, so it’s not as easy as some people paint it. Nobody go just wake up and use a kidnap victim account to be trading p2p like that without red flags showing.. The system is designed in such a way that third party payments and suspicious account mismatches won’t even pass, so a lot of those kidnapper stories just sound like fear marketing to push people into using his platform/exchanges…
But at the same time, the Showlove01 also no completely wrong if we reason am from another angle. Even if no be kidnappers matter, chasing only the highest rate when trading is a risky behavior on its own because na that kind mindset scammers dey always target. If everybody dey sell at 1500 and you rush go meet one person shouting 1700, you increase your chance of falling into trap. So while the bank/KYC angle makes it harder for fraudsters, we as traders still need to apply common sense, sometimes it is better to take a fair, average rate than to risk everything just because of small extra gain…
