Cristian Chivu is no stranger to Inter Milan, having started his coaching career at the club from the bottom. Starting in 2018, he was entrusted with coaching the club's U-14 squad, which he then developed into the youth team, and ultimately became the coach of the Inter Milan senior team. He truly built his coaching career from the bottom, and he is also known as a coach who excels at developing young talent.
He is familiar with both Inter Milan and Serie A but not all ex star players can become good coaches and there are more failed stories than limited successful cases like Zidane, Xabi Alonso, Pep Guardiola, Conte, Simeone. Chivu surely has enough experience from his player career but as said player and coach are different role and it is hard to apply your experience in player career to your coach career.

The hope is Chivu is defender and it seems more former defensive players succeed in coach career than former attacking players. Perhaps playing in midfield or back line helped them to have better match overview than attacking players.

Cristian Chivu may not have the experience to manage a team playing in the Champions League, but with his passion and self-confidence, he could lead Inter Milan to even greater heights. This is certainly an opportunity for him to build a coaching career with the senior team.
He will struggle in both Serie A and Champions League that are big challenging tournaments for a young coach like him. Failure of Pirlo, Gatuso, De Rossi, Rooney, Lampard, Gerrad are big warnings for Chivu with his adventure in Inter Milan this season.
