Due to different mindsets, not everyone can immediately recognize the mistakes they've made. Some players may have made mistakes but remain oblivious and insist on their own principles of winning. When experiencing a losing streak, it's best to stop and take a break, as continuing to do so will likely only complicate matters. While luck might lead to a big win on the next bet, that's not guaranteed. Addicted gamblers may become more aggressive when they've experienced losses or when they've made a profit.
Do you mean more aggressive towards the game, that is, winning will make them play more actively because after winning they will have more money? This is also possible, and I do not know how much a break can help addicted players if they will still play until they lose everything. Moreover, it will be very difficult to take a break after winning, because they will have money and will want to continue playing while luck is on their side. A break can be done by players who play for fun, but for others it is something else.
