And within myself, I am still wondering, what could possibly lead a person back to gambling after successfully quitting initially? Know well the reason for initially quitting was addiction, does it make sense to go back to gambling and become even more addicted?
Surely from the story you've narrated, it shows that the person in question went back to Gambling after quitting. There is nothing to be surprised about because people can take decision and still fail to abode by it, so it's not a new thing. Taking decision to stop an addictive lifestyle can be challenging which implies that not everyone can take decision of stopping an addition and stand by it. Som addiction are spirit possessed addiction which even you wish to stop you can't because there is some Force behind it. Some addiction need prayer to stop. Note: addiction I mean must not only be gambling but any addictive lifestyle. The fact is that when an addiction becomes difficult,  uncontrollable and unstoppable just know that it is spirit driven.

There is nothing to really be surprised about, it is not always easy to completely stoped an addicted lifestyle including gambling, quitting addiction can not just happened by force and in most persons it has to go through stages, returning back to gambling after quitting might not necessarily mean that the gambler has come back fully as they used to and most times too addiction becomes difficult to overcome as a result of lack of discipline and determination and nothing to be regarded as spirit driven but no doubt about certain addictive lifestyle to be a spiritual problem which we have discussed in one the threads in the gambling discussion board.
