That's an interesting strategy. I think that you'll make some money doing that especially if the odds is better on that team you're trying to bet for a come back. You just have to prepare your pocket on it because the risk is too much on that. I've tried that several times and it's not really a balance results, more with the losses than of the wins. But one thing I like doing this is the thrill and excitement upon placing bet when you do it maybe in the midst of the game.
At first it appears to give the player an upper hand but the game most times go contrary to the predictions. Underdog teams fall back in games like NBA good enough, but in football it's not always easy to bounce back to a 3:0 down. The odds will be great yet it's not challenging to pick the losing side, hoping on a turnaround. Whenever a team losses momentum it's probably hard to rebuild it in the same game only a strong coach or manager with the right state of mind would be able to change his player's perspectives into making the change immediately especially when the team is hungry for a win.
