Yep, same thoughts. Initially I was very surprised that Barcelona took him, but as we can see they quickly realized their mistake. Rashford is a spent material, he should go to the tier 2 championships if he wants any game practice at all. The funny part is that when he moved to Barcelona he agreed to a pay cut, I wonder if after Barcelona send him back United will pay him his old salary or a reduced one?
From the start Rashford's future at Barcelona was questionable, but Hansi Flick remained convinced to loan him out. Hansi Flick even gave Rashford an ultimatum if he didn't perform to his best he would be given fewer playing opportunities. Indeed in the three matches Rashford has played for Barcelona he hasn't contributed.
But in my opinion, it would be better for Barcelona to wait until January to decide whether to bring Rashford back to Manchester United. It's unfair to judge a player based on just three matches. Coaches must give players the opportunity to make a real contribution immediately, so their position in the squad isn't further threatened. Because judging players based on three matches is what frustrates many players, ultimately leading to early retirement.
