Making predictions is a very worthwhile endeavor, although they are generally not guaranteed to be accurate because the potential for winning is always less than the potential for losing. Therefore, every gambler or player of a particular game must be prepared for losing, because winning is always a possibility for everyone, and that is a reality that no one can deny. That is why before gambling or playing at a certain stake level, one must be mentally prepared to maintain a strong spirit and avoid immediate frustration due to a loss.
There are no accurate predictions you can get anywhere hence making predictions also helps you to get a closer view of what the game may become due to the past record between both teams you intend to choose though sometimes the records don't even repeat after doing the analysis. Gamblers are always aware of the chances of getting a win and a loss both things are inevitable to the players it is left for the players not to gamble recklessly and not to attach emotions when they gamble.

This is why it is called prediction because you are just assuming of your chances. This is gambling, so the guarantee of winning can't be 100% all the time. You have so many blind spots that can contribute to your losses. So before you put yourself in a tight position, better not use any funds that is not yours.
