It's true that in these first few games, the defense remains terrible. I say continues because last season we lost the European Champions League and the FA Cup because we had a terrible defense. Now, I haven't seen any major improvement in defense this season. Just look at the top teams, we have a staggering scenario:
1 - Liverpool = 3 games, 4 goals conceded
2 - Chelsea = 3 games, 1 goal conceded
3 - Arsenal = 3 games, 1 goal conceded
In other words, we're averaging 1 goal per game. Fortunately, we didn't concede a goal in the game against Arsenal. Maybe that means we've made some improvement in defense. We'll see how things go in this weekend's game.
That's right, since last season Liverpool's defense has been in the spotlight because they conceded 41 goals in 38 matches and this season the situation is no better as you said they conceded 4 goals in 3 matches even though based on this season's transfer report, Liverpool has spent 71 million on 2 players to strengthen the defense line. Is this just a matter of adaptation or is it the goalkeeper poor performance? Actually I am a bit worried that this weakness will impact their plans in the title race or competition in the Champions League.
