I saw a post about someone returning to gambling after quitting for some time, maybe a year or more. But my concern is not more on the return to gambling, rather it is on the very question I am about to ask that requires your opinions if really we want to solve the problem of gambling and addiction into it

What could be the reason for his return and what can be done to manage such situation?
I have seen two types of people in gambling. For example -
1. Those who are financially independent: Such people mainly enter gambling for entertainment. Gradually they become addicted to gambling. Their financial condition gradually gets worse, they understand this but they cannot do it.
2. Those who gamble to change their luck: These are usually not financially independent. They always face financial problems, they cannot earn enough money for them, so they gamble with whatever they earn to change their luck thinking that if they can win a jackpot, then their luck will change. But in reality, very few people can change their luck from here, most of them fail here.
As you said, if someone quits gambling once after being addicted to gambling and returns to gambling after a long time, what could be the reason for this. In this case, from the above analysis, my answer would be that either he has returned to gambling for entertainment or he is currently in a financial strait, so he is looking to enter gambling again to change his luck.
