I think something that could liven up bitcointalk is a chat feature, it could be like a live chat where you can continuously talk with others.
More trolls and spam written in some chat would not help bitcointalk forum at all, and we have other forums as a proof for that.
It would be just be a waste of time and resources, and it could potentially create more ground for hackers to attack the forum.
