1 - Liverpool = 3 games, 4 goals conceded
2 - Chelsea = 3 games, 1 goal conceded
3 - Arsenal = 3 games, 1 goal conceded
In other words, we're averaging 1 goal per game. Fortunately, we didn't concede a goal in the game against Arsenal. Maybe that means we've made some improvement in defense. We'll see how things go in this weekend's game.
There are several reasons why Liverpool started the season conceding more goals before facing Arsenal.
-Liverpool underestimated opponents considered weaker, such as Newcastle and Bournemouth.
-Liverpool is adapting to a new formation with several new players.
The improvement against Arsenal suggests that the second reason may be Liverpool's somewhat weak defense. Liverpool also shouldn't be complacent despite their improvements, but Chelsea could be a strong contender this time around
