You are right dear things like Bitcoin ETFs go against point of Bitcoin because they put your trust back into banking system that Bitcoin was made to avoid. Idea of not your keys not your coins is based on this as your private key is only true way to own your Bitcoin if financial system collapses. And your point is excellent that banks will always see decentralized currency like Bitcoin as threat. And yes Bitcoin real value is in being digital asset that you can control completely without needing to trust third party.
