Since the change of name to the UEFA Champions League, no other team has done it again apart from Real Madrid, before that, teams only tried but couldn't retain it until Real Madrid made it happen. The truth is, it will be hard for any team to replicate that form in the competition. PSG cannot retain the the trophy, yes I was a big fan of PSG last season and wanted them to win it and I was happy when they won it but they cannot win it again this time around.
The champions league is becoming more competitive every season that is why Real Madrid is not more winning the title back to back again because their last manager didn’t try to make sure they have squad depth until most of their key players are old and some of them left the team which has resulted to the team struggling in the last two seasons especially in the defensive side. However, the team has now started to get the right shape they deserved even though some part of the team are yet to be fully prepared.
They can go far in the UEFA Champions League this season because Alonso seems to be serious with the players and I can see it from their Laliga matches.
PSG on the other hand don’t have the team to defend their Champions League title this season, Madrid is back, Barcelona is there, Liverpool and Arsenal are also there to compete for the Champions League title this season.
This season will not be easy for anyone. Because every team is in very good form. Whenever a good team plays against a good team, it is very exciting. Winning this season will not be easy for anyone like the Club World Cup. For example, we all saw how big teams lost to small teams in the Club World Cup. This time it is not like that, everyone is in very good form, everyone is playing very well.
Madrid is slowly returning to its previous state. Because Madrid is doing much better now than it was before. This is all due to the change of coach in Madrid. If Madrid had not changed the coach, maybe Madrid would have been in a bad situation. We all hope that Madrid will soon become like the 2016-2017 season.
