Keeping your salary job while growing your business is the best smartest way. It gives you financial backup and reduces pressure on the business. They are a lot of people who quit too early just because the business doesn't pick up fast as they expect.
I often encounter new businesses popping up, most of them run by young people who tend to be lifestyle-minded. However, the common thread is that most of these businesses only last a few weeks, and the longest is probably no more than five months.
