I keep seeing rumors that the Los Angeles Lakers are preparing a trade offer for Zion Williamson. I can’t imagine this is actually true because Zion hasn’t shown himself to be capable of staying healthy and the Lakers just rid themselves of Anthony Davis. Zion would be a wild mistake, but when healthy the highlights would be epic.
I don't know, though, about a winning change. Just as you said, that dude's history is filled with injuries, so it will not be good for the Lakers to have him. I think what they need is just to surround Doncic with shooters and big men. He is good at making players open by using his slowmo attack skill, so it's best to just use the money for roleplayers. And Ballmer says that he hasn't spoken to Kawhi since the break out of this news. I have a feeling that they probably not going to patch up their relationship on this issues specially if Ballmer is telling the truth that he didn't know anything about it. And it's purely on Kawhi's business. He was just approach by the company and he said yes. So he is a willing participant in the beginning until this news comes out. Relationship has been damage for sure.
It's a damaged relationship now. I don't know how they are going to start the season like that. Imagine Ballmer on the sidelines not cheering after Kawhi made a shot. That's awkward.
