Haha, maybe the Super Stars referred to are players like Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar yeah that's his personal assumption while we know players like Darwin Nunez are also Super Star player, what is clear is that players who have been mainstays in the Premier League can be called Super Stars. By the way it's a bit of a shame that Darwin Núñez moved to the Saudi Pro League because he's still young at 26 years old he should still be able to pursue his career at an elite club in Europa.
What do you think about the rivalry between Al Hilal and Al Nassr? Both teams have brought in new players this season, Al Nassr with João Félix while Al Hilal with Darwin Nunez, obviously we know the quality of these players
I am getting tired of this argument. Why the young players need to be in Europe to advance their career? Nowadays, European clubs don't show any sort of respect towards the players, and majority of them are owned by corrupt oligarchs. In the last couple of years, we are witnessing an increasing number of young players moving to Saudi Arabia. Darwin Núñez is not the only one who made the move. In Al Hilal itself we have Yusuf Akçiçek and Mathieu Patouillet. Merih Demiral is representing Al Ahli, and in Al Qadsiah we have Christopher Bonsu Baah, Mateo Retegui and Julián Quiñones.
This is because we assume that the highest level of football is in Europe, and that the world's top five leagues are located there. We still assume that the pinnacle of a footballer's career is playing in Europe, for a big club in one of the top five leagues. Meanwhile, leagues outside Europe don't offer adequate competition. Domestic leagues like the Saudi Pro League are quite competitive, while other leagues on the same continent are less so, thus the continental competition is also less competitive. It will take a long time to create a competitive enough competition to make it one of the best leagues in the world.
Currently, the branding and popularity of the Saudi Pro League still depend on the signing of star players, and when those star players leave, the SPL will return to being a league with little interest.
