Laziness and addiction has some common grounds, an addicted person becomes lazy and nonchalant about other things except for their addiction, they always want to find that solace in that which they are addicted to and the pleasure and satisfaction they get after satisfying their addictive cravings sometimes, this is what I have seen mostly with most of the gamblers I consider addicts to gambling.
Yes, they often go together but in my opinion they are not really connected, clearly if you have a gambling addiction and you are also lazy, no one can save you
You have to be a little proactive in life, otherwise problems rain down on you and you do nothing but cry over it.
