The champions league is becoming more competitive every season that is why Real Madrid is not more winning the title back to back again because their last manager didn’t try to make sure they have squad depth until most of their key players are old and some of them left the team which has resulted to the team struggling in the last two seasons especially in the defensive side. However, the team has now started to get the right shape they deserved even though some part of the team are yet to be fully prepared.
They can go far in the UEFA Champions League this season because Alonso seems to be serious with the players and I can see it from their Laliga matches.
PSG on the other hand don’t have the team to defend their Champions League title this season, Madrid is back, Barcelona is there, Liverpool and Arsenal are also there to compete for the Champions League title this season.
Real Madrid has struggled recently because some of their good players are old and others have left which has especially hurt their defense. However I also think they are now improving and could be strong contenders for Champions League again if they continue to rebuild. And yes that is right that competition is tough this year with strong teams like Barcelona and Liverpool and Arsenal all looking to challenge for title while you believe PSG might not be strong enough to win.
Real Madrid only struggled last season the reason has already been said by you but coming to the new season they came back looking better after making new signing of new coach and new players to fill the gap that was giving them issues in the defense last season, Real Madrid have a great chance in this season Champions League they do not need to rebuild the team they just needed few players to strengthen their defense which they have gotten the coach is meant to take the team to the finals if that is done we should expect to see them winning it again likewise the La liga where they were defeated severely by Barcelona they should regain that position to win Barcelona again.
