I dont see how gambling and doom scrolling are related. Anyway, they both can be addictive and I think thats where you are driving at.

Since gambling and doom scrolling can be very addictive, they are both dangerous. Everything addictive in general is not good because it can have a harmful effect on the individual that was addicted.
