The champions league is becoming more competitive every season that is why Real Madrid is not more winning the title back to back again because their last manager didn’t try to make sure they have squad depth until most of their key players are old and some of them left the team which has resulted to the team struggling in the last two seasons especially in the defensive side. However, the team has now started to get the right shape they deserved even though some part of the team are yet to be fully prepared.
They can go far in the UEFA Champions League this season because Alonso seems to be serious with the players and I can see it from their Laliga matches.

PSG on the other hand don’t have the team to defend their Champions League title this season, Madrid is back, Barcelona is there, Liverpool and Arsenal are also there to compete for the Champions League title this season.
Real Madrid has struggled recently because some of their good players are old and others have left which has especially hurt their defense. However I also think they are now improving and could be strong contenders for Champions League again if they continue to rebuild. And yes that is right that competition is tough this year with strong teams like Barcelona and Liverpool and Arsenal all looking to challenge for title while you believe PSG might not be strong enough to win.

After watching Real Madrid perform under Xabi Alonso, I like what I've seen so far. Madrid hasn't played as a team in a long time, and they're starting to realize that. So far Madrid has slowly begun to play very well. Xabi is also clever at rotating his lineup, which is very helpful in facing the busy schedule and competitions in the long term.

Regarding the older players who have left, I think Xabi will easily find replacements, especially since Ancelotti and Xabi's strategies are very different, including their philosophies. Madrid will remain a major contender this season alongside Barcelona, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Munich. I don't see PSG being able to retain the title this season.
