If we compare past cycles of Bitcoin to the current one, we will see volatility is constantly decreasing, so it seems a natural tendency as adoption increases, and coins are splitted among more different hands. That is good news.

However, I don't think it's going to decrease in a way it could become similar to gold or even less volatile yet... Bitcoin is still part of a global, decentralized and speculative market where whales play a major role.
