Almost every now and then, there is a new casino that is setup, each week, it is like there is a new casino where gamblers could gamble. I am aware that the competition in the industry is good, but more casinos mean more publicity for gambling, and more publicity for gambling means more gamblers definitely, and if there are more gamblers, we will have a higher chance of people who will turn up with a gambling problem or challenge. This is a thought I had earlier, I may be wrong, what do you think? What do you consider is the effects of the many options and variety of casinos to gamble on, do you think that it has somehow promoted and made addiction easy? do you feel that gamblers would have been less addicted if we have fewer casinos?
Having too many casinos also creates an illusion of opportunity gamblers might think if one casino didn’t work out another one surely will it’s almost like chasing a mirage they keep switching from one platform to the next believing the outcome will be different but the underlying odds never change this cycle makes it even easier for addiction to take root because there’s no natural pause or barrier to slow them down. The competition between casinos also pushes them to come up with more aggressive marketing strategies loyalty bonuses free spins risk free bets cashback deals all these things sound rewarding but in reality they’re designed to keep people playing longer and spending more money instead of helping them stop.

Another angle is accessibility years ago you had to physically go somewhere to gamble but now with online casinos being everywhere it’s in your pocket on your phone and with new casinos launching every other week it’s nearly impossible to avoid exposure this level of convenience is a double edged sword while it makes gambling easier for entertainment it also removes the friction that might have kept people from doing it too often. So in a way the explosion of casinos hasn’t just promoted gambling it has lowered the barriers and created an environment where addiction can flourish more quietly and quickly if fewer casinos existed maybe there would be less temptation but with online platforms in the picture it seems like availability will always keep expanding.
