I'm not effected by the ban but I wonder what the justification for it is.  I feel like (and perhaps this is ignorance) India probably has a low income for most of it's people.  Online games have in the past provided some income for people in these types of situations.  I can also understand how the government might want to protect it's people.  I have seen reports of Indian containing extremely low IQ individuals en masse, so it is possible that intervention is needed to keep citizens from being taken advantage of.  I just think this is the sort of thing that stifles innovation.
