Hiring Ten Hag was a mistake, which is best ignored for now. I started to gain confidence in Leverkusen after he was fired, especially after the appointment of Kasper Hjulmand. If Kasper Hjulmand is not a very familiar face in club football, especially for me. Before being appointed to Leverkusen, he was the coach of the Danish national team. Under him, Denmark played in the semi-finals of the UEFA Euro 2020. He even represented them in the FIFA World Cup and the Euro Cup in 2022. He resigned in 2024 after the team failed to reach the desired goals and the team deteriorated. After that, he is currently appointed as the coach of Leverkusen. Although he has no great achievements, I think he will be able to take Leverkusen to a good position.
There is hope for a better change to happen in Leverkusen. It is indeed unfortunate that their performance dropped under Ten Hag in such a short time. It is not impossible that the same thing could happen to Hjulmand if Leverkusen's performance does not improve. However, perhaps the club management will give some time for Hjulmand to adjust, unlike what happened with Ten Hag, who, since his selection, many were dissatisfied.
Sure, Leverkusen can come back to there best form since they have change the manager. Eric Ten Hag don't have opportunity to perform better in the Bundesliga competition, Leverkusen as did a very good work for sacking Eric because with how he started the season with the poor performance I don't think can help to team achieve trophies this season. This new manager Hjulmand, have not watch is match before but am sure Leverkusen have seen a very good vision with the coach that Is why they buy him to the club. I will not miss is first match in the Bundesliga as see how he will do is lineup and know if he will give Leverkusen victory in is first game in the club.
Since xabi Alonso achieve trophies for Leverkusen they have not get a better manager like him yet, but let watch Hjulmand performance in the club and see if he's the best manager that can handle the club very well and challenge bayern munich in the league competition.
