Those with a steady income and a sound mindset are less likely to gamble, as they generally won't waste their money on things with uncertain returns. Furthermore, those with a healthy mindset likely won't resort to gambling when experiencing stress, but instead turn to other activities, such as reading or exercising. A person's return to gambling can be triggered by several factors, one of which may be the desire or urge to gamble again after seeing a friend win.
Sure they'll still gamble, but not for the monetary outcomes and benefits of it, but strictly for fun as it should be. The actual reason why most gamblers gamble solely for the money is because they wanna make some money off it, it's like an investment to them and that's why most losses are not easily accepted by them because their expectations are only to win and increase their bankroll and when that doesn't happen, they decide to change strategy just to ensure they actually win, and some go as far as chasing their losses because losing is totally unacceptable to them. But when one is satisfied with their income and still gambles, the need to make extra money isn't there, thus eliminating that drive to chase losses whenever they lose.
