Consistency is very hard to maintain forever, so seeing Manchester City losing that consistency is not a big surprise. They have to face their trying times and this is one of the times, but I still see them having the potential for the league title because they’re not that poor of a team. The premier league is a very competitive league for one to remain at the top forever, so Manchester City will have to show some kind of extra effort and strength if they want to be at the top once again.

Manchester City's situation isc quite shaky. They are not able to perform well. We have seen that even against weak teams, it is quite difficult for Manchester City to win. I think Manchester city's midfield is not strong enough now. Guardiola has not been  able to find a worthy replacement for De Bruyne. Due  to the weak midfield, naturally Manchester city's attack performance has also become quite weak now.

We also cannot see good performance  from Manchester City's defenders. Manchester City has conceded two goals each in both Tottenham and Brighton matches and they have lost in both matches. It will not be possible for Manchester City to compete for the title this season. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all in better  overall condition than Manchester City.
Manchester city struggles begin since he lost Rodri to a very long time injury, and since he came back the team is not as it use to be. We have see Pep Guardiola trying so hard to get replacement from the players he had lost but it not working, I’m not saying the players are bad players but they play a very different style of football.

Another thing pep Guardiola is not taking serious is the defense, he really need to bring in Quality defenders especially that central defense. In every match you will see how Manchester city struggles at that defense each time the opponent attack.

It a good thing they got Donnarumma deal done at the end of the day transfer window, it will be of huge help to the team.

As for me I don’t see them as a serious title contenders this season, not after losing in that manner to both Tottenham and Brighton.
