Yes, Atalanta will definitely struggle to perform well this season. As we know, they have lost their best goal scorer, Retegui. But I don't think that's the main problem, because the real problem Atalanta has is the loss of the coach who made them a great team in Serie A. So, I think that's what's making Atalanta even worse now. Because basically, we can see for ourselves that since Gasperini left Atalanta, their performance has worsened.

The proof is that Atalanta couldn't win against weak teams like newly promoted Pisa. So, with that, it could be a sign that Atalanta is really not doing well this season. I think they need to find a better way out so their performance can improve again. Because basically, everything is already done, so they won't be able to turn back time. Therefore, for now, Atalanta just needs to do their best, whether it's in Serie A or the UCL.

I'll be honest, one person certainly lowers a team's performance, but one person can't change the outcome.
Football is a team game, and placing all your trust in one player is like shifting responsibility to just one person. I don't agree with this vision of the game.
Stars make the difference, but let's remember that we're all important; no one is indispensable. Atalanta just needs to find a good goalscorer, perhaps one better than Retegui. There are many young talents yet to be discovered, and there always will be, we just need to give them opportunities.
Atalanta has lost its marker Retegui and it's true because he's someone who scores a lot and in my opinion they made a mistake in letting him go, considering that he's one of the strongest strikers we have in Italy, in fact you can see it even in the World Cup qualification competition, but more than that is certainly the loss of coach Gasperini, without him it's a really bad team and it shows
