I saw a post about someone returning to gambling after quitting for some time, maybe a year or more. But my concern is not more on the return to gambling, rather it is on the very question I am about to ask that requires your opinions if really we want to solve the problem of gambling and addiction into it

What could be the reason for his return and what can be done to manage such situation?
People who return to gambling after previously quitting may not necessarily be addicted to gambling, but they may return simply for entertainment. This is especially true if they stopped gambling to focus on their work, making it highly likely they'll gamble again only in their free time.
Given this situation, we can conclude that the person is not an addict. If we're talking about a gambling addict, it's impossible to stop gambling for a year. Usually, let alone a year, even a week is difficult for someone addicted to stop gambling.
People who relapse into gambling should be less likely to become addicted because they have had many opportunities to analyze their past experiences with gambling and the potential for winning and losing and to act on them when they relapse. I think that people who relapse after quitting gambling are not coming back to recoup their losses, they are mostly coming back for entertainment because they know that returning for revenge could lead to even more financial losses for them.

How they take their gambling to the next level and how they implement it through their actions depends on the reason they quit gambling in the first place. If the reason they quit gambling in the past was financial constraints, they may have a desire to earn money and prepare themselves to get involved in the gambling industry. Some of them quit gambling because of busy schedules but later want to get back into gambling to spend some free time. But the most important thing is that those who relapse come back mentally and financially prepared.

The reasons for stopping and returning to the game can be different, both as an interesting entertainment and as an irresponsible breakdown, which will result in problems. I once had a long pause in games when some laws were adopted in my country related to restricting access to gambling and while offices and casinos were switching to a new way of working and because of my unwillingness and laziness to figure it out, I simply stopped playing altogether. But over time, this habit came back to me.
