I get it, "the big 1 A" is addiction and I tend to agree on that but I think it's still on someone else's shoes if he will fight on it or try to moderate his habit. There are too many things to make your addiction worth it but for me gambling is should be having one E and that's excitement. I'm competitive when it comes to it but I know my limits especially if money is at stake, I definitely moderate it.
