Having that budget and prevent getting exceeded will keep you safe and will still be able to call yourself as responsible, though it's tough to compete against your ownself as sometimes you'll find yourself in a situation where you think that you have big potential to win but upset happen after, those are the times that you need to consider and always knows your bounderies so even you exist some you'll be able to catch up and pause to reassess, that will stop the bleeding and prevent you lose more.

Yeah, I think the idea of keeping yourself at bay with boundaries is a smart idea.

In the end, people that get carried away and don't respect any boundaries are usually the people who end up losing all their money.

The more boundaries we put ourselves, the better future we can build.

Honestly, I have been in that phase where I got carried away because I badly want to chase my losses. All I can say is that it doesn't have a good feeling. It's filled with stress and a lot of bad emotions. Mostly, anger. I promised myself I won't be in that position again, and after I decided to take a long rest, it felt better to gamble again. I enjoyed it more.

Sometimes we take the hard way to learn the lesson, but the important thing is that we learn from it and accept the losses. The next thing we can do is be responsible and avoid repeating the same mistake.
