Bitcoinatlk is not like Facebook or X where you could gather all your alts to support a false argument and people would think it's through.
This forum is faceless and we'll know the ethics behind a support for good conduct and the contrary. Any unreasonable support for a project that don't deserve it would be frowned at if they don't show a proof.
Some business representatives do not get this point. They treat Bitcointalk like other social media, where they keep posting good comments from different accounts. We have seen shilling before in this community, and we still often see newbie accounts writing comments on casino announcement threads. This is totally annoying, but the casinos think they are building a reputation.
In reality, they get caught pretty easily. I haven't seen shilling activity lately, but they are exist and appear in the various announcement thread from time to time. Most of the brands hire those shillers because these people reach to the brands offering their services.
Even up to now, I still see newbie accounts that only post just to shill, to be honest. They really seem like trolls, and you can easily notice their movements through the way they post.
But it looks like those kinds of shilling posts aren’t going away anytime soon.
And maybe the reason they’re doing this is because, in their minds, they think Bitcointalk is like Facebook—where there are lots of communities that would easily believe in their shilling.
But in my opinion, they seem to be mistaken about that.
